Key storylines for Week 15

Rock at Thunderbirds: Halifax is the hottest team in the league, bringing a five-game winning streak into Friday night’s clash against Toronto. The Rock have lost three straight, although all three were by just one goal.

Warriors at Seals: Four teams — including the Seals and Warriors — enter the weekend tied at 5-6, jousting for the eighth and final playoff spot. Will this one be as exciting as the 11-9 thriller on Jan. 10?

Knighthawks at Desert Dogs: Connor Fields is the current NLL scoring leader, with 84 points. He was selected in the expansion draft by the Desert Dogs, who immediately traded him to the Knighthawks. In three games against Las Vegas, Fields has 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists), including 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in Rochester’s season-opening win against the Desert Dogs on Nov. 30.

Roughnecks at Bandits: Can Nick Rose get on track against the Bandits? The recently acquired Roughnecks goalie has gone winless in his last nine games against the Bandits (including playoffs) while backstopping the Rock.

Rush at Swarm: Georgia’s Lyle Thompson leads the league with seven hat tricks this season — including each of his past two games. The Rush have one of the best defenses in the league, as they’ve held opponents to single-digit goal totals seven times. Which side will prevail?
